Tarring of Road Celebrated

Kumba City Dwellers Celebrate Tarring of Road. There are hopes in the horizon that the remaining 2.5 km of road into Kumba from Buea will be tarred in the coming days. This follows the conspicuous presence of workers of the road construction company recently on the road carrying out feasibility studies.

Sources say the tarring of the road comes as a result of pleas by the elite, traditional rulers and municipal authorities of the locality. This group of individuals have taken a trip to Yaoundé and tabled a series of memoranda to the Prime Minister, the Ministers of Public Works and that of Urban Development for the road to be tarred from Kumba Water (Buea Road) to the Town Green Roundabout.

The presence of workers of the road construction company has been saluted by the Kumba city dwellers who now say they have confidence in their leaders. Rumors hold it that the work is to commence soon and is to last for six months
