Cameroon National Assembly: House Speaker deplores  manipulation of public by embezzlers under costudy

Yaounde - The second ordinary session of the National Assembly opened this Tuesday 5th June 2012. At the opening session, House Speaker, Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril recalled recent happenings in Cameroon with special zoom on government’s anti-corruption fight.

In a stern tone, the House Speaker deplored at the fact that some suspects of the present operation Sparrow Hawk attempt to manipulate public opinion by transforming an issue of common law to a political issue.
He indicated that the National Assembly is in total support of all those who are involved in the fight against corruption. The Speaker of the House began his speech by recounting the different activities in which the Assembly was involved during the period of recess.
The opening ceremony was witnessed by top government authorities.
