Parents residing in the Limbe Municipality have been accused of supporting the strike actions and other crises going on in the North West and South West regions of the country by withholding their children from going to school even though it had been announced that there shall be effective resumption of classes by Ministerial order.

The accusation was made recently by the SDO for Fako,Zang III.The Senior
Divisional officer asked all the women and parents to shun fear and ensure that their children go back to school with immediate effect. He also highlighted the fact that the government is making efforts to put an end to all the crisis going on in the North West and South West regions of the country Reminding the population that women are the backbone of the family, the Fako boss encouraged the women to support the government’s action in resolving the crisis, adding the fact that children’s education and the pursuit of knowledge should not be compromised in the process.

The Government Delegate to the Limbe City Council, Andrew Motanga Monjimba frowned at the behavior of parents in the Limbe Municipality who are still preventing their children from going to school, saying that every child has the right to an education and should be allowed to gain access to knowledge in the classroom. He also encouraged the women to break all barriers in the job market spheres to prove themselves in a changing world of work and to reflect of the role of the woman in the society. Sir Andrew also reminded the women to encourage their male counterparts to send their children back to school, emphasizing the impotence of education and nation building.

It is worth noting that due to the crisis that affected the North West and South West Regions, parents have been withholding their children from going to school for fear of their kids being manhandled, despite ministerial order for the immediate and effective resumption of classes in the region.
